You can prefix what you are typing using : e.g. :pray: will give you 🙏 or you can use the emoji picker next to the message input.

You can prefix what you are typing with @ to search participants’ names and hit the tab key when you want to select them. This will send a notification directly to that participant to get their attention. e.g. @Chuck Hardy
