To make Salesroom as easy as possible to use (we don't require any logins or downloads to join a meeting!) We've built Salesroom using WebRTC, which is built-in to most modern browsers. As this is a relatively new web technology, some browsers don't have full support for it yet. This is our recommendation of browsers & devices for the best experience.

Desktop & Laptop Computers

Given that Salesroom is exclusively browser-driven, it's crucial to align with the latest iterations of our recommended browsers. Below are the minimum specifications for operating systems that we can accommodate:

  • Mac: MacOS 10.11 and newer

  • Windows: Windows 7 and newer

Browsers

We ensure support for the two most recent versions of the following browsers, so if you are experiencing problems, please try updating your browser by accessing the relevant option in the Settings menu, typically found under "About."

  • Chrome (recommended)

  • Safari (Safari 16 or later is suggested due to significant performance improvements)

While we don't officially support other browser versions, almost any browser that has built-in support for WebRTC should be able to use Salesroom without issues. This includes other Chromium-based browsers, such as Brave.

Known issues:

Inevitably, there are known issues that cannot be resolved by Salesroom, as the problem exists in the browser or operating system.

If any issue (either listed or otherwise) affects your call, please try an alternative browser or device, and let us know.

Chrome:

  • Having more than 3 participants talking at the same time can cause 'robotic' audio effects.

  • Echo cancellation can sometimes not work correctly. Salesroom recommends participants wear headphones to avoid this situation entirely.

Firefox:

  • Very occasionally, a user's video may get rotated.

  • When a participant's video starts, Firefox may be slower than other browsers in showing the video.

Safari:

  • Cannot screen share a single tab due to partial support for WebRTC.

  • The chosen video quality may be ignored by Safari if the camera doesn't support it. The video quality used can then be larger or smaller than expected.

  • Safari before 15.4 doesn't support the latest Content Security Policy updates we use to help maintain our application security. As a result, Salesroom won't load on Safari earlier than 15.4.

Mobile Devices

The Salesroom experience remains accessible even when you're on the go, thanks to our commitment to mobile compatibility.

iOS Devices

Users can join Salesroom using the Safari browser on iOS devices running version 16.1 or later. Additionally, Chrome on iOS versions 16.1 or newer is supported.

Android Devices

On Android devices we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome.

Known issues:

Inevitably, there are known issues that cannot be resolved by Salesroom, as the problem exists in the browser or operating system.

If any issue (either listed or otherwise) affects your call, please try an alternative browser or device, and let us know.

iOS:

  • Screensharing isn't supported on device. In order to screenshare, you need to mirror your display to a laptop or desktop machine, and share on that.

  • Video may be stretched after changing orientation

  • Switching away from Salesroom will cause your video to become a black screen.

  • Taking a call can cause the audio and video to stop.

Android:

  • Screensharing isn't support on device. In order to screenshare, you need to mirror your display to a laptop or desktop machine, and share on that.

  • On some Xiaomi and OnePlus devices, using a bluetooth headset could stop incoming audio

  • On Android 12 or earlier, hardware acceleration can sometimes cause some video distortion

  • On OnePlus 6 devices, the video can freeze if the screen turns off during a call.
