Floating Video

The floating video feature on Salesroom allows you to pop out another participant's video so you can see them while doing other things on your computer.

🗣️
When presenting in complete full screen on both Mac and Windows, you lose the ability to use Salesroom's floating video feature. The operating system prevents your browser from displaying anything on top of what you have on full screen. Any video conferencing tool that works from your browser will have the same restriction.

Usage Instructions

Salesroom is Browser only at the moment to ensure you don't have to download or install anything; it just works. So to have a floating video on top of what you are presenting, you need to use your browser's tabs or ensure you are not in complete full screen.
Below you will see written and video walkthroughs of how to present in each format in a way that allows you to keep a floating video open on top of your screen while presenting.

Presenting Formats

These apply to both Mac and Windows. Basically, you are loading the file you want to present in the web app for that file. e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint via OneDrive for *.pptx files.

Google Presentation

On the top right, click the dropdown next to "Slideshow" and select "Presenter view."

This will open up a new window with your speaker notes; it's up to you if you want to keep this or close it.
In Salesroom, you can share the screen and select the tab with the Google Presentation in it.

Microsoft PowerPoint

With PowerPoint, you have to share the tab first before going into presenter mode. Otherwise, PowerPoint will default to taking over the entire screen rather than just the tab.
From within OneDrive, open the PowerPoint presentation you wish to present.
In Salesroom, share the screen and select the tab with the PowerPoint slides in it. Now navigate to PowerPoint and select present on the top right.

Keynote

From within iCloud Drive, find the Keynote presentation you wish to present and click the play icon ▶️ to start presenting.
In Salesroom, you can share the screen and select the tab with the Google Presentation in it.

PDF

You can right-click from your Desktop or any online Drive like Google Drive and say "Open in Google Chrome" or similar.
Depending on your browser, you may have to reduce the sidebar if needed.
In Salesroom, you can share the screen and select the tab with the Google Presentation in it.
